The BETT Show, the world’s leading event for learning technology, will be on this week at Excel London and we’ll be there to share all things Eat Happy. We’ll be talking about the project and keeping our ear to the ground for some great new tech ideas.
Using new technology to improve food education in schools is right at the heart of what we do, so we can’t wait to go along and talk to delegates about our Online Field Trips.
We’ll be setting up home at stand B45. If you’re coming to the show, be sure to pop along and say hello. We’ll be giving out free apples as well as other Eat Happy goodies!
And we won’t be the only ones waving the Eat Happy flag. Two of our teacher friends from previous Online Field Trips are going to be speaking about the project and its positive impact on pupils’ learning.
On Friday Tim Handley, who teaches class 5H at Woodlands Academy in Norfolk, will be giving a presentation with his class in the BETT Arena (which seats a whopping 1,200 people – we think they’re very brave!). The children wrote the presentation themselves, and they’ll be talking about how the school uses technology to engage, inspire and motivate children and parents – including their experiences on both our Prize Pumpkins and Prickly Pineapples Online Field Trips.
You can also see Mr Handley and his class at the Eat Happy Stand (stand B45) at 12.45pm and 4.30pm.
Stephen Lockyer and five of his pupils from The Mead School in Kent will be speaking at the Google Stand (stand E240) at 4.30pm on Friday. The subject of their talk is ‘How we use everything online in our computing lessons’ and they’ll be sharing their experience of our Juicy Clementines Online Field Trip.
Good luck to both teachers and classes – we’re looking forward to seeing you in action!
