Use the world map poster to find the top ten rice-producing nations in the world. You may wish to provide each child or group with a copy of the map. The children could trace the map and research other facts about those countries. Note that most producers of rice are located in Asia. Create a ‘working display’ to add to as you learn more. Encourage the children to find other foods from Thailand or Asia to add to the display.
