Our Scout trail has been specially created for Beaver Scouts and Cub Scouts to help them learn where their food comes from.
About this Trail
Your group can find out where their food comes from during a fun and interactive visit, and earn a badge along the way!
What happens on the trail?
- Children will get the opportunity to touch, smell and taste different types of fruit and vegetables and learn about how and where they grow.
- They will learn about the ingredients needed to make bread.
- They will visit the cheese counter and get to taste and rate cheeses they may not have tried before.
- They will learn how to identify fish.
- Children will also get the chance to go behind the scenes and find out why we store some food in freezers.
