Most Popular New Games to Play in 2023

It doesn’t matter if you are playing on a console, pc, or purely on mobile 2023 is a feast of incredible games. There is something for everyone from super fast FPS to 9 pots of Gold on Jackpotjoy.

So let’s check out what you should be playing for the next 12 months!

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Due for release in March, the hotly anticipated Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to make up for the mistakes of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (some players felt like the mashing together of Sekiro and Uncharted was a miss).

Cal Kestis spent the last five years in hiding, running from the Empire, and he looks like it too! The developers have said that the combat has been improved, and players can expect a more enjoyable combat experience. Traversal abilities like riding wild animals and a new sabre stance are just a couple of things to get excited about.

Available on PC, Ps5, Xbox Series X/S

Starfield

A new openwork and a highly anticipated one at that. After the success of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, Starfield is following in the footsteps of great games. The game was delayed, which is a good thing, as Bethesda has a reputation for pushing games out too soon and packed with bugs.

Starfield takes to the skies and is set in the stars, there are plenty of ways to customize your spacecraft, and you have over 100 systems and 1,000 worlds at your disposal. You might spend so long exploring that you forget that the game is an action RPG, and you’ll be fighting pirates, choosing who you’re going to side with.

With a nice balance between melee combat and shooting, Starfield is set to be a lot of fun.

Available on Xbox Series X/S & PC

Diablo IV

Diablo has a strong track record for being an immersive and highly action-packed game. For those who have played previous Diablo, you’re going to get the same grind, gear, dungeon, and gameplay you loved before. And, for those who have never played, be prepared to lose hours powering up and taking down huge mobs.

Diablo IV is a top-down dungeon-crawler, but what it does so well is the open-world feel. The graphics are incredible, and as veterans will know, there are some stunning cutscenes. Your character is as customizable as ever – but now with the bonus of Transmog (just like its sister game WoW).

Due out June 6th, and available on PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox

9 Pots of Gold

9 Pots of Gold is a hot collab between two titans, Gameburger and Microgaming – offering their most luck-filled slot ever. A nice 5×3 grid and 20 fixed pay lines combined with a 96.24% RTP and medium volatility mean that if you love slots, this one will be your top in no time.

Sticking to the classic lucky colors green and Gold, it is pleasing to the eye and has the feel of other Irish theme slots you may have played before.

Some cool features include Three Free Spin Scatters, a Free Spin bonus round, and more.

Although it was released in March 2020, it’s seeing a huge ramping up in popularity.

Available via PC and Mobile.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Who doesn’t love a sequel? The Legend of Zelda is going to add further to the hugely popular franchise. Expected to be even better than the fan favourites Breath of the Wild. Tears of the Kingdom take us into the skies of a new world.

The trailers have carefully but cryptically shown off some new weapons or tools for Link and what could be a great mechanic with time reversal. However, until the release of more trailers, we won’t know how that is going to work.

And, it’s not impossible to see Nintendo releasing a new console to support the massive game because there are doubts about whether the Switch could handle it.

In the meantime, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has plenty of mystery surrounding it and will be released on May 12 – available on the Switch.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

A PlayStation exclusive that easily secured a spot as a fan favorite with its innovative and exciting combat. Why should Marcel’s Spider-Man 2 be on your list? It follows on beautifully from the Miles Morales story expansion, and you can play as both Miles or Peter Parker.

Venom is back, and you’ll also be hunting the hunter in this game, with a new villain, Kraven the Hunter, joining the ranks.

Hopefully, the fluid swinging about movement has had some nice upgrades, and the open world should feel as exciting as ever. The release is set to be after Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse hits cinemas in June.

The release date is Autumn 2023, and it will be available on PS5.

Street Fighter 6

A classic that puts the fun back in straight-up fighting games. Street fighter 6 is set to spice up the fighting game genre. Developers opted for a hyper-real style and a highly polished smooth-as-butter fighting game with some new systems. You can create your fighter, which already adds to the gaming experience.

You can play in single-player mode or take the battle online – the choice is yours. And, just like you’d expect with Street Fighter, you get some of the classic originals and some new feisty fighters too.

Available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, PC release dated: June 2.
